Platform Releases

Upgrades are indicated as major or minor, according to their magnitude.

Major releases are usually breaking changes and not backward compatible. They may also indicate that a hardware upgrade in vehicles are necessary, i.e. because of new requirements for passenger information UI or new ticket media.

Minor releases are usually backward compatible and based on continuous development. They should usually not require any hardware changes in the vehicle.
